3 months old already!

Mia turned 3 months old yesterday! We cannot believe how fast time is flying by! She is smiling and laughing on a daily basis now, it is just the cutest thing in the world! She also loves to stand on our laps and she basically supports herself on her feet with just our hands steadying her back and sides! Her eyes are still really blue and some people are saying that they look like they may stay that way! Though I wonder if they will turn brown at some point since both Matt and I have brown eyes.
Mia and I continue to attend the Mommy and Baby group on Tuesdays at 10am in the Beverly Women's Health Center. We've been going to group since she was 3 weeks old. Yesterday she was the oldest baby in the whole group! I think it may be time to check out the Thursday morning group which is for older babies, ages 3 months to 6 or 7 months. Unfortunately, I will be returning to work in less than 3 weeks so we will only be able to attend a couple Thursday groups.
On the work front, I did get a 4 week extension for my maternity leave and will start back at work on July 28th. Sadly, I found out last Thursday that my work will not let me return on a part-time basis at first. They are making me come back full-time, 40 hours a week. I'm very disappointed since I was hoping to work part-time for at least a few months before returning full time. For several months I was led to believe that coming back part-time temporarily wouldn't be a problem, but apparently some people who make these decisions changed their minds. This also means I had to set up daycare for her and I was able to do that a couple days ago. She'll be attending home based daycare in Peabody 3-4 days a week (Mon, Wed, Thurs, and every other Tuesday). My mom will be watching her 2 Tuesdays a month, Matt's mom will watch her 1 Monday a month and my aunt will be watching her every Friday. I'm glad she'll be with family at least a few days a month but I'm so sad that I will not be able to stay home with her for even one day a week! We'll see how things go once I return to work.........I hope it's not too bad.......
