And time keeps rushing on and on. Our baby is no longer a baby. She is a one year old who definitely acts like a toddler! I had full intentions of writing this post on Mia's actual one year birthday but that didn't happen. Life is just too busy. I think often about updating this blog but then I don't do it. At least I'm getting some words down now.
Anyways, Mia Samantha turned one year old on April 7, 2010. Over three weeks ago! She has been walking for about a month and a half now, and has started climbing onto everything in the last couple weeks! Just last week I turned around for a second in the kitchen and when I looked back at Mia in the play yard, she was standing ON TOP of her activity table with a big smile! Needless to say, we took the table out of her play yard and put it in her play area upstairs.
Mia has also developed quite the vocabulary. I need to start documenting all the words she has begun to say in the past couple months and in the order she has said them but this may be difficult to remember. Here's a running list anyways (in some sort of order from first words to most recently spoken):
dada
mama
all done
up
ball
hat (pats her head while saying this and usually drops the "t")
dog (without the "g" and she also pants if she sees a dog)
hi (one of her favorite words EVER, she says it all the time and usually waves too)
no
baba (bottle - she will look straight at her bottle when she says it or will ask for it and then get excited when she sees it)
thank you (very new, started saying this over the last 2 weeks or so, it is SO cute the way she says it!)
ba bye (usually while waving goodbye)
wow (newest word, just started saying this over the last 2 days)
eye, no for nose while touching nose, ear, mou for mouth
