For the last several months, Mia's favorite word has been "dada" and Matt has REALLY been enjoying it! Well, about a week ago, Mia decided to change her favorite word to......"mama"!!! This is now the word she says ALL THE TIME and it is the greatest thing ever! I LOVE hearing her say it and she will look right at me and say it or if I leave the room she will call out for me. I cannot handle how cute it is. This morning when she woke up, I brought her into bed with me and we spent 45 minutes cuddling and playing, all the while she kept saying "mama" and leaning over to kiss me on the cheek then give me a big smile! Words cannot explain how special this is to me. The smiles that she beams out of that cute little face are priceless. She is constantly smiling and the littlest thing (a smile, a wave, talking to her, singing to her, etc) can elicit that beautiful smile that comes across her face.
Ok, enough gushing. Sorry. I have to reiterate my amazement that the last year has gone by so quickly. In 6 days, Mia will be a year old. Her birthday party is a week from Saturday and will be at the Crown Pointe Clubhouse at Matt's dad's (aka Papere) condo complex in Swampscott. It should be a great time! Still have to figure out the food (my brother is helping with this) and also get decorations and paper goods. And party favors! Aaaah, so much to do! I'll blog after the party to tell all about it.
Hopefully I can become more blog savvy soon and actually start posting more pictures and perhaps even some videos! I would love to do this but really have no idea how to. I gotta learn to be a little more technologically inclined.......
