So things continue to happen so fast that I can barely keep up with this blog to record everything! Mia started officially crawling on Monday, 10/26/09. Ever since then she has gotten faster and faster and crawls over a long distance (like around our entire bedroom which is a pretty big space!) We now have to make sure that wherever we put her is on a clean vaccummed rug or on a blanket with lots of toys to keep her occupied, or in her playpen!
Last weekend we celebrated Mia's first Halloween. She was dressed as an adorable little flower! First, we celebrated at the weekly mommy/baby group on Thursday. There was a big turnout for group that day and all the babies were in costume, it was SO cute! Mia had a great time with all her friends. Then, on the actual day of Halloween (Saturday), we were pretty low key, attending a baby Halloween party during the afternoon at one of the mom's houses from mommy group and then later on visiting our next door neighbors to show off Mia in her costume and then lastly visiting Mamere to hang out and help pass out candy to trick or treaters in the neighborhood. (We never get any trick or treaters at our house so we didn't feel bad that we weren't home to pass out candy).
Today Mia is 7 months old, I can't believe my baby is already this old! Time is FLYING! Although her teeth have still not cut through we can really see the bumps of them in her gums! She got another cold last night and has a really runny and stuff nose today! Poor thing. She hasn't had a cold in a while......maybe it is a symptom of the teeth trying to come through.
Mia has also been pulling herself up onto anything and everything and standing. She is doing this now with such ease, sometimes I put my hands out to her, she grasps by hands with her hands from a sitting position and then in one fluid motion she is lifting herself up into a standing position on both feet, then jumps up and down in excitement and makes happy noises and smiles!
